According to the Houston Chronicle, "Morris raised more than $150,000 for trans youth in 24 hours after creating a T-shirt that reads "Lunatic Country Music Person." The phrase is what TV host Tucker Carlson called Morris for her support of LGBTQ+ youth. It started when Morris criticized country singer Jason Aldean's wife for writing on Instgram that she'd "really like to thank my parents for not changing my gender when I went through my tomboy phase," a clear knock against trans youth and their parents."
