Let It Be pin is a tribute to the hit song of the same name, released by the Beatles in 1970. Paul McCartney wrote the song, which is formally credited to McCartney and John Lennon. Inspiration was a comforting dream that McCartney had about his mother, Mary, who had died when he was 14 years old.
Pin design is psychedelic, representing "Mother Mary" from the song lyrics as an ethereal pink woman with a two-tone blue face. She is wearing dark blue headphones and listening to music. Her positive energy, drawn to look like hair, bursts from the top of her head in waves of aqua blue, yellow, orange and red. She has six arms, three on each side. Each of her six hands performs a symbolic task:
- Hand at top left points to the heavens.
- Hand at top right presses her headphones to her ear while she listens.
- Hand at bottom right holds her mobile audio device, connected to her headphones by a long and winding cord.
- Hand at bottom left supports a floating red heart, which appears broken in half and mended.
- Her two middle hands are conducting aqua blue sound waves between them, on a yellow green background, symbolizing the sound of music.
At bottom of pin, behind the woman, is a black record album with a lime green center. Rising from the perimeter of the record are yellow and red flames.
Song title is on bottom half of pin in an arc of aqua blue letters. Year (2020) is at top center of pin in gold numerals on a red banner. Hard Rock Cafe logo is at bottom center.
