Part of the global Message in a Bottle Series. Each pin is a vertical bottle with a brown cork and a city scene covered by a clear plastic dome. Inside the plastic is loose brown sand.
For this series, some locations received unique pins with iconic local images on the bottle and a city name under the Hard Rock logo. Other locations received clone pins with generic Hard Rock images and no city name. The clone pins came in two nearly identical versions, one for cafes and one for hotels. The only differences between the two clones are the Hard Rock Cafe or Hard Rock Hotel logo on the front of the pin and the varying Limited Edition quantity on the back of the pin. Cafe clone states no quantity. Hotel clone says "Limited Edition 400." This pin is the clone for cafes.
Pin features a concert scene, with a white vertical guitar as the central image. Cork at top of bottle doubles as the guitar head. Flanking the guitar are black amplifiers with gold trim. Beneath the guitar are black silhouettes of Hard Rock fans with hands raised in celebration. At bottom of pin are, from left to right, a hamburger, a yellow treble clef, and a sparkling red drink in a hurricane glass. Hard Rock Cafe logo is near bottom center of pin with no city name.
Year (2019) appears in text box on back of pin. Back of pin says "Limited Edition" and does not state quantity.
Sold on a series backing card with light blue water on top half and tan sand on bottom half. At bottom of card are the words "Message in a Bottle" in brown capital letters, looking as if they were carved into the sand with a stick. Beneath that are the words "Global Series," also in brown capital letters, but in regular text.
