The "Park Lane" special edition Mini was sold from january 1987. It was only availble in black with gold stripes and logos, and beige/black velvet interior. A total of 4000 were produced, 700 of them exported to Japan.
Vitesse made this model both before and after being bought by Sun Star Group. This is the post-Sun Star version, of which a total of 1080 were made, each individually numbered.
The older version (pre-Sun Star, a total of 2000 made) came in a square window box with Vitesse's trademark mirror in one corner. The license plates were slightly different (registration number D99 NTH compared to the Sun Star's D289 NTH)
