Peace Panda - Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock

Panda guitarist in 1960s hippie clothing, smiling and making a two-fingered peace sign. Inspiration is Seattle native Jimi Hendrix (1942-1970), one of the most influential electric guitar players of all time.

The year 2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the Woodstock music festival in New York, where Hendrix gave a groundbreaking instrumental performance of the United States national anthem, "The Star-Spangled Banner." Panda is making a peace sign with the index and middle fingers of its left paw, as Hendrix famously did with his left hand onstage at Woodstock.

Hendrix typically played lefthanded, using a righthanded guitar turned upside down and restrung for lefthanded playing. His guitar at Woodstock was a cream and white Fender Stratocaster. Panda is playing a similar cream and white guitar lefthanded.

Panda is black and white with curly brown hair. Its costume is inspired by what Hendrix wore at Woodstock. Panda wears a white jacket with white and turquoise fringe, blue pants, a turquoise pendant, gold earrings and a red bandana. Year (2019) appears horizontally on bandana in gold.

Hard Rock Cafe logo is at bottom center of pin with city name in gold. Back of pin says "Limited Edition 300" and does not state manufacturer. Cafe staff say manufacturer is Pincraft.
