Native American woman clone released for Pinktober, the annual Hard Rock charity campaign to promote breast cancer awareness. This pin, which has no location name, was sold in the Online Rock Shop and at selected Hard Rock locations in the United States.
Pin was made to honor breast cancer survivors worldwide and the women of the Seminole Tribe. The Seminole Tribe of Florida owns Hard Rock International. Pin was designed by Seminole artist Wilson Bowers, using themes of unity, strength, resilience and perseverance.
At center of pin is an abstract profile of a Native American woman, facing right. Her head is a heart-shaped cutout surrounded by a pink breast cancer ribbon. Around the top of the ribbon is a curved black banner with the word "Pinktober" in pink capital letters. The banner represents traditional Seminole hair. Below the ribbon is a yellow and pink sweetgrass necklace, which symbolizes basket weaving and the role of women carrying their clans. At left and right of the woman are diamond-shaped geometric designs in pink and white, tying Seminole culture to the ongoing fight for breast cancer awareness.
At top of pin is a white banner with the brand name "Hard Rock" in black capital letters. Between the words "Hard" and "Rock" is a pink breast cancer ribbon. At bottom of pin is a white banner with the words "Stronger Together" in two rows of pink capital letters.
Back of pin says "Limited Edition" and does not state quantity.
Sold on a black, pink and white backing card with pink and white diamond-shaped geometric designs in each corner. Back of card says a portion of sales will be donated to the Hard Rock Heals Foundation to support breast cancer awareness.
