Plymouth Barracuda Funny Car

Subvariant title: 2006 RLC sELECTIONs
34 Variants
Back in the early ‘70s, one of the first cars sponsored by Mattel was the Plymouth Barracuda driven by Don "the Snake" Prudhomme, and a casting was made of this famous Funny Car. Red Line Club members voted to use this casting — the Plymouth Barracuda Funny Car — for the first RLC sELECTIONs car of 2006 from the '05 sELECTIONs Runners-Up round – and this time, the car sponsored Mattel!
Also chosen by RLC members was the color Spectraflame purple – and this car has "Purple Passion" written all over it – literally! The HWC team wondered what a Funny Car would look like if Mattel had sponsored it back in 1970, and this is what they came up with. To properly celebrate Mattel's sponsorship, it also features Mattel, Hot Wheels, Red Line Club, HWC, Neo-Classics, Real Riders and more logos! To complete this rolling commercial, we've included original Redline era style wheels and a full-metal, chrome-plated chassis. And don't forget – it's a Funny Car, so it opens up!
