2007 HWC Real Riders
Collector favorites designed by Ira Gilford back in the early ‘70s include the "Heavyweights" line. In 2003, HWC restored the shorter-bed version of these special vehicles when they brought back the Tow Truck. Then in 2006, Ira designed several brand-new tops for our RLC sELECTIONs polls. Collectors voted on four designs, and the winning design was a Race Truck. The second of the four, a Billboard top, was released almost immediately.
This Ramp Truck in our HWC Series Six Real Riders series is the third release from those four designs — and the first time this top has ever been used! First appearance of this payload, based on Ira Gilford's design for the 2006 RLC sELECTIONs polls! Spectraflame dark purple finish with "REDLINE TRANSPORT" logo on sides; black plastic ramp and chromed plastic engine on top; Real Riders slotted wheels with red stripe tampo. As you can see, Ira's latest truck design definitely delivers!
