Sand Crab

Subvariant title: 2007 HWC Neo-Classics

Just picture it: You're lying on some exotic tropical beach on a warm summer day... the sun is shining... the waves are crashing... palm trees sway in the gentle breeze... and then this sweet green dune machine comes jumping off the beach berm, spraying sand and sending the crabs scattering! The irony does not escape you.
The Sand Crab returned!
One of the classic designs by creative genius Tom Daniel, the original fun-time vacation vehicle was retooled for this HWC Series Six Neo-Classics release! With an original debut in 1970, the Sand Crab became one of Monogram model designer Tom Daniel's first Hot Wheels versions — along with the Red Baron and the Paddy Wagon. Prior to this release, it was last seen in 1983 in Mexico (perhaps cruising in Cabo or Cozumel), but the little crustacean car has finally resurfaced. It's sure to make a big splash with features like: Spectraflame light green finish; detailed pinstriping on hood and sides; original Redline era style red-striped wheels.
