After the events of Blood and Thunder the Silver Surfer returns to Calculex to check up on Legacy, asking a local where he can find him. The local points him to the bar known as The Dark Side. At the same time Raze asks another local where he can find Vranx. The local points him to The Dark Side. Once arrived at the bar the Surfer learns from the bartender that Legacy hasn't been around for a while. Just when he is about to leave a woman approaches him and tells him that Legacy's behaviour has shifted since gaining his powers and that he uses them to push people around. The Surfer asks her to tell Legacy that he is looking for him, whenever she sees him again and then tries to leaves the bar as Raze enters and attempts to shoot Vranx, an attempt which is foiled by the Surfer, much to Raze's frustration. Vranx gets away and the Surfer decides that he will join Raze to apprehend Vranx and stop Raze from killing him. After following and finding Vranx, he and Raze start fighting. Eventually the Surfer stops the battle between Vranx and Raze by temporarily stunning Vranx. Then Raze pulls a knife out of his jacket, wanting to kill his enemy, when the Surfer is apparantly able to convince him not to use lethal methods. As Raze hands the Surfer his knife and he disposes of it Raze grabs his gun and shoots Vranx. The dead Vranx turns into a Skrull and Raze reveals that Vranx is Raze's brother and has killed their parents. The Surfer promises to see to Raze's punishment, but his and Raze's conversation is interrupted when Legacy, accompanied by two women, turns up.
