A transition-model from Kaden. In the mid 90s they changed production from plastic models to diecasts, initially reusing several parts from the old plastic range (Mini Auto), including the characteristic 'button' hubcaps and interior. It's very likely that the body casts themselves were reused as well, only this time for diecast.
The bodies were painted like other diecasts, but the shallow interior and Mini Auto-hubcaps are giveaways to the plastic-past.
These early models came on a modern presentation plinth and hard clear perspex cover (with a Kaden sticker), but no outer cardboard sleeve.
As Kaden started to create new models, the plastic-past soon faded into history, but on these few transition models it is still very evident.
The prototype of this car, was the first version of the Skoda 110 R with chrome trim on the front fenders, external filling cap and just two headlights. In late 1971 a minor update concealed the filling cap behind a hatch, and in 1973 it received an extra set of headlights. Very few scale models exist of the initial version like this Kaden.
