Steel Wheels is the first Stones' LP to be recorded in digital; the last one that Bill Wyman; and the first time a concert tour launched the same month as the album released, the date -August 1989. The unique thing about the track, "Continental Drift," is the Stones used the Master Musicians of Jajouka who are a band of musicians that Brian Jones recorded an album with Rolling Stones Records. Fox released a 3D television special on the Steel Wheels.
