HWC Series One consisted of fourteen of the coolest most-loved castings, all decorated exclusively and specifically for collectors. Packaged in an exclusive HWC blister card and individually numbered, Series One cars were limited to no more than 10,000 pieces each.
It's the "little brother" of the Customized VW Drag Bus decorated for the 2002 Hot Wheels Collector's Nationals by Hot Wheels graphic designer Wayne Scott, featuring a similar chromed-out, pinstriped look! Including a polished zamak-plated body, a silver VUM engine and surfboard, and red-lined Real Riders wheels, this release of the Surf Crate is reminiscent of the Hot Wheels Super Chromes era.
