1939 Triumph Dolomite

1937-1940 Triumph 14/60 Dolomite 2 Door Roadster

The Dolomite name was again used from 1937 to 1940. The car this time had a 1,767 cc four-cylinder engine and saloon body. The design was overseen by Donald Healey and featured a striking new design of radiator grille.

The Triumph Dolomite sports car was planned to be made by Dinky post WWII but was never produced.  This model fills the gap many years later.

Two models in "The Dinky Collection" were released as 'special edition' in oversized boxes with styrofoam inlays and 'certificates', this Triumph is one of them (the other is the Mercedes-Benz O3500 coach)

Despite the exclusive packaging and being labeled as 'special edition', there are no individual serial numbers, nor is there any mention of the numbers made. Also, there are no 'standard editions' of these models, so behind all the hype, the Triumph and the Mercedes are basically just standard models in bigger boxes.

The hood is detachable, and the rumble seat opens.
