Keith found an unhealthy kitten outside the studios in Barbados and back to health. He names him Voodoo for beating the odds and refers to the studio's terrace as the Voodoo Lounge. This is the first LP without Bill Wyman and the first for Daryl Jones on bass, who does not become an official Rolling Stone and tours with them thru this very day. The song, "Sparks Will Fly" was written about an altercation that Keith had with Jerry Lee Lewis while in Ireland.
