VW-Porsche 914

2 Variants

In the 60's, the Volkswagen needed a successor to the dated Karmann Ghia, while the Porsche was interested in an economic model to replace the 912. The two automakers, linked by excellent business relations, concurred to a common project. They made a joint venture and planned for a new car that could accommodate either a Porsche or Volkswagen engine, entrusting the assembly to Karmann.
