Whipple & McCullouch 1971 Plymouth 'Cuda Funny Car

This model was originally built in 1971 by Art Whipple and drag racing legend Ed "The Ace" McCulloch. It was the second funny car they ever built together but it was the first one they ever successfully raced (as their first funny car they built burned to the ground in transport to the 1970 US Nationals). This car would go on to win the team their first NHRA event in 1971. They would go on to win the next five of seven finals in the same event over the next two years. This is the car that kicked off their impressive 30 year racing career.
