The Land Rover breakdown truck started life as #417 way back in 1960 in Mk1 form with a tin canopy. It gets upgraded to a Mk2 with suspension but still a tin canopy in 1962 as #417S which, with a plastic canopy becomes #477 in 1966. (So distinguishing between examples without canopies isn’t simple!) Somewhere along the line it gets Whizzwheels but no new number. It sort of sneaks into the list without telling anyone rather like the blue-green metallic Land Rover itself did. Despite some sites stating its life as 1966-67 only, this example is clearly mid 70s with that box style. Prices seem all over the place for this but it’s been one of the more difficult to track down so it is scarcer than some may think, despite its longevity
