A collector looking at this coin said, "This is not a "perfect" coin but it is a beautiful coin. We often equate perfection with beauty and this simply is not true in my opinion. Matt's old coin has character and history much in the same way an old gentleman's weathered face is not perfect but the face has character. I tried to illustrate this principle with my Nero if you saw the post. Nature has done her thing and wrought something that transcends the original intent of the coin. The soul of the artist understands this and we are all artists in our own way"
