LMV was a French company created by former engineers of the LAFFLY company, specializing in urban cleaning and garbage collection vehicles. At the beginning of the 1950s, LMV launched the B52 sweeper/sprinkler (arroseuse/balayeuse), which were a common sight in Paris, as well as other big French cities, until the 1980s.

In the 1980s the company was acquired under the name SMV by SITA and the coachbuilder Grange (now FAUN s.a.).
