Built from 1946-1948, the K-1 was among Allard's first postwar range and was on a longer 105 inch wheelbase than the J-1. The frame was made up from stamped-steel channel sections by Thomsons of Wolverton specially for Allard. Side rails and cross members were designed to fit the Allard trailing link, transverse leaf independent front suspension, and live rear axle. Production totaled 150 and when fitted with the same engine options as the J-1, the K-1 could reach 85 - 90 M.P.H..
