Adam Petty (July 10, 1980 – May 12, 2000) was an American race car driver. The son of Kyle Petty, Adam Petty was the first fourth generation driver in NASCAR history.
On May 12, 2000, Petty was killed after he crashed while performing a turn while he was practicing for that year's Busch 200.
