"The Aerodrome" was the title adopted by David Austin for a series of 1/200th models, predominantly of civilian types, as an offshoot of his well-known Dinky Toys trading business. The masters for this series were, again, the handiwork of Tommy Atkins. It is thought that only a relatively small number of finished models appeared on the market, built by various hands for the Aerodrome. A small, engraved windsock under the wing identifies these models. MetalModels later purchased most of the masters and subsequent reissues do not have this feature.
