Albert began in 1878 to make toy watches and doll sets. His studio was located on rue de la Roquette in Paris. In 1900, he began to make mechanical toys, following in the footsteps of his competitors (Charles Rossignol in France, or Bing in Germany, which were more specialized in toy trains). In 1910, he proposed his "New Circus" which evoked the atmosphere of the circus with great charm. The war broke out and the means of production were naturally oriented towards the national effort, the manufacture of toys being interrupted.
