John Alcott

In the 1980s John Alcott produced a limited number of beautifully made 1/200th models of large aircraft such as Super Constellations (reworked from Dinky Toys items), B-36 Peacemakers and WW2 R.A.F. bombers, all scratch-built. Some were sold in Veteran & Vintage Models packaging (the trade name of Vic Bailey's Brighton-based collectable toy business). They were expensive models for their time, in line with their superb quality, and survivors still stand comparison with later competitors today. He made Dinky Toy conversions, like the: French Dinky Constellation to EC-121 H, R7V-2, WV-2 and TWA constellation (long nose), and the
