Something Missing?

Argentina had an explosion of small, medium, and large automotive industries at the beginning of the sixties and under the Automotive Promotion Regime, which was created by Decree 3693 of March 25, 1959, during the mandate of President Arturo Frondizi. Then reforms to this regime would cause large terminals of US origin to enter the car market. Until that moment they only manufactured utilities.

The company Alcre SAICFI based in the Avenue Leandro N. Alem 619 of the city of Buenos Aires tried to commercialize two microcars called Susana and Luis. The first a small sedan with two doors and the second a coupe.

The company Alcre SAICFI based in the Avenue Leandro N. Alem 619 of the city of Buenos Aires tried to commercialize two microcars called Susana and Luis. The first a small sedan with two doors and the second a coupe.

The manufacturing plant would be located in the province of Entre Ríos in the city of Paraná and it seems that Credidio managed to get the German companies Heinkel and Bellido to finance their project to build this microauto in Argentina. Heinkel would be the company responsible for providing the engines and Bellino the bodywork of the two models of Alcre. These cars were of the Champion brand in Germany and the Susana 500 model corresponded to the Maico Champion 400, an evolution of the first models presented in the year 1955.
