Altered Beast is a video game franchise owned by Sega. Its first title of the same name was released in 1988 in the form of a side-scroller. was It featured the "Altered Beast," an Ancient Greek Centurion, who took on several forms - including werewolf, weredragon, werebear, weretiger and golden werewolf - in order to rescue Athena from the demon god Neff of the Underworld.
