Its head is snake-like in appearance; it is featherless, scaly, and red with a green stripe running along the top. Its mouth is lined with sharp fangs. Its eyes are round white with black pupils. Its body is covered with frayed yellowish feathers with blue feathers on its winglike arms and legs. All of its winglike limbs bear razor-sharp claws. It has a ring of small green feathers on its ankles. Its tail is red and featherless; it has a fan of blue feathers at the tip.
