Archie the Axolotl

Archie the Axolotl is a Squishmallows character first released in 2019 as a member of multiple squads having a varied Squishdate over time. He has been released in 13 different sizes ranging from the 2" Squishville to the 24" plush figure with Flip-A-Mallow, Squish-Doo, and Hug Mee variants in addition to the classic plush figures in standard and retailer exclusive distributions. Archie has also been released as an AirPod and earbud case.

Archie has a pale pink color on his body with bright pink gills on either side of his head. He has small, stubby arms and usually a white belly. He has round black eyes and a cat-like smile. Some of the variants have a rainbow striped belly or a belly covered in rainbox sprinkles. Variants also have Archie holding a multicolor ice cream cone or a red balloon.

Due to him being said to “talk with his hands”, another way to describe using sign language, it is implied that Archie cannot speak or is deaf. This was later confirmed by the Party City exclusive axolotl Clutch, whose bio says he "steps in to be Archie’s ears and advocate when they’re with someone who doesn’t sign."

• Halloween 2023 Edition (Squishdate 09.19.2022): Have you met Archie? This shy 'Mallow has a special talent—he communicates with his hands! When he isn't kicking around a soccer ball, you can find Archie learning new words to sign. For Halloween, he's learning 'trick-or-treat', 'chocolate', and 'meow'!
• McDonald's Happy Meal Edition (No Squishdate noted on hangtag): Archie is a talented 'Mallow who uses his hands to talk. His favorite hobbies are soccer and feeling the rhythm of the music. He even started a sign language club to help other 'Mallows learn!
