Something Missing?

Formed as a result of co-founder Robert Fellows' split from their joint venture Wayne/Fellows Productions in 1956, John Wayne's production company Batjac was named after a fictional company in his 1948 film, Wake of the Red Witch (although misspelled by his secretary, to which Wayne allowed to stand). The company produced films up to 1974, with McQ being the last.
