A battle droid commander was a member of the Separatist Droid Army during the Clone Wars. In 21 BBY, the battle droid served under the command of Confederate General Grievous during the Battle of Dorin. When Grievous ordered the commander to escalate the attack, as an act of revenge against the native Kel Dors of Dorin for staying loyal to the Galactic Republic, the Commander sent commando droids to hunt down the survivors of the battle. However, the counter-attack of the Republic fleet, led by Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, forced the Separatists to retreat from the planet.
