Bela-bodied Liberty, Lenox, and National chassis were displayed at Mechanics Hall during the 1917 Boston Auto Show and the firm is known to have built coachwork on Cole, Marmon, Mercer, Packard, Peerless, and Simplex chassis.

Within a year of the 1917 stock offering, Bela's board of directors accepted an offer from shoe manufacturer Richard H. Long to purchase the firm.
