Best Box

This Dutch brand of small-scale diecast models started in 1960 or 1963 as a competitor to Matchbox and in 1969 or 1971 it was transfered/rebranded as Efsi.  Mr. J. van Min founded the Ifabex company in 1960 to manufacture Best Box in Amerongen, NL. Mr van Min was an importer of Tekno Toys from Denmark at the time.  His import company was called Verkoopkantoor Vanmin.  See 'more' and 'links' for more history and photos.

Vanmin contracted metal casting company Brouwer from Amerongen. Brouwer contracted Spiejo construction workshop from Hilversum,   So Spiejo made the molds for the models, which Brouwer cast the parts. The first model was released in 1963, a Ford T.  (http://3inchforum.nl/index.php?topic=3091.0)
