Blue Beetle (Ted Kord)

DC | Character

Something Missing?

Theodore "Ted" Kord is the second Blue Beetle, a superhero and benefactor to the next Blue Beetle. At some point following the arrival of Booster Gold in the present day, Ted Kord, a genius inventor (and heir to Kord Industries ) set out to become a hero in his own right, having been inspired by the deeds of Superman and Batman. He developed a high-tech suit, but was reluctant to strike out on his own just yet, as he feared that going out without distinct super-heroic identity would result in a repeat of the fate of the Bug-eyed Bandit, who was stuck with an embarrasing name by the media. However, a chance encounter with his neighbor, archeologist and golden age Blue Beetle Dan Garrett, ended in him being inspired to take on the mantle of the Blue Beetle
