Bus Collection (Atlas, Northern Europe)

Collection of 31(!) buses and coaches, all in 1/72th scale. All models were originally issued by DeAgostini in the countries where they operate. Editions Atlas adapted the collection to some degree, changing colors in some cases.

Because the DeAgostini series was larger, Atlas were able to pick and choose models for individual markets.

Collection of 31(!) buses and coaches, all in 1/72th scale. All models were originally issued by DeAgostini in the countries where they operate. Editions Atlas adapted the collection to some degree, changing colors in some cases.

Because the DeAgostini series was larger, Atlas were able to pick and choose models for individual markets.

Each model came with a leaflet describing the history of the bus and highlighting special features. Unusually for Atlas, the models were delivered in full display showcases with perspex covers and outer cardboard boxes. The perspex covers retain the DeAgostini stickers, while the cardboard boxes are marked as both Atlas and DeAgostini.

Unlike many other Atlas collection, this one did not include racks/shelves among the free gifts, instead the customer got a ring binder for the leaflets, a poster, a dvd with famous buses, a key ring and - quite peculiar - a metal flask.

It is unknown to the author, whether the collection was larger or smaller in other countries, if reference numbers were different, and exactly which models were included in different countries. All information contained above is for the collection as issued in Denmark.
