The California Custom series was a premium Hot Wheels line consisting of 16 models in 1990 and nine models in 1991.
Each model featured bright colors and graphics and most featured special two-piece Real Riders (rubber tires) or Turbo Wheels (plastic tires). They came packaged on an oversized blister card with an enclosed sticker sheet and a plastic collector's button somewhat reminiscent of the buttons included with 1968-1972 Hot Wheels Redlines.
