Carl Banas (born January 23, 1929) is a retired radio personality best known for his voiceover work and commitment to television, radio, and podcasts. He is best remembered for his roles as the Head Elf and the Misfit Elephant in the 1964 television film, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
As of July 2021, Banas is one of the last two surviving cast members of 1964's Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, alongside Corinne Conley. Although a retired actor and radio personality, the actor still continues to publically read stories to children and occasionally does voiceover work.
