Children of the Forest

The Children of the Forest were one of the original races to live in Westeros, slowly driven north by the First Men. They created the White Walkers to combat the First Men, but eventually were forced to side with the First Men against the much stronger enemy they had created. The Children along with the Old Gods were mostly forgotten in the South, but the North remembers.
