Cooper Union

The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, commonly known as Cooper Union or The Cooper Union, is a private university in New York City.  

Established in 1859, Cooper is divided into three schools; the Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture, the School of Art, and the Albert Nerken School of Engineering.  As of 2017, it has between 900 and 950 enrolled students.  It is one of the most desirable schools in the US, as it has an acceptance rate of only 15%, with the School of Art and the School of Engineering only having less than 5% acceptance rate.
