Dan-Toys is a Paris-based model car retailer. The company released its own version of commercial vehicles fashioned after Dinky Toys France from the 1950s and 60s. A year later in 2006, the company introduced reproductions of French manufacturer Quiralu, along with more versions of Dinky Toys ranging from 1/43 to 1/50 scale.
Years after Meccano had closed down both in France and in England. Daniel the owner of a model shop in Paris had the idea of making copies of the very famous and sought after diecast models. Original Dinky Toys were 3D scaned and the models were made in China by NOREV. There were many original finishes which made these models different from the original Dinky Toys. Later the idea of making copies of many toy brands was taken over by Atlas. --Jacques Dujardin
