The company was called DC Direct from 1998 to 2012. From 2012 to 2020, DC Direct was known as DC Collectibles. In 2021, McFarlane Toys announced that it would take over management of any remaining DC Direct inventory and that it would continue to release new products under the DC Direct brand.
