Denmark is a Scandinavian country and the smallest of the Nordic countries.  It has a population of 5.75 million.  The most populous city is Copenhagen, which is also the capital.   Although Danish is the official language, German is a recognized language.  The country uses the Krone (DKK).

The country is ranked as having the lowest perceived level of corruption in the world, has one of the world's highest per capita incomes, and one of the world's highest personal income tax rates.  It is often ranked as being one of the happiest countries in the world.
