Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters

Organization

Something Missing?

The Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM, German Touring Car Masters) is a touring car series sanctioned by DMSB and ITR who have been affiliated to the FIA since 1976 and 2003, respectively. The series is based in Germany, with rounds elsewhere in Europe, racing a silhouette racing car based on a mass-produced road car.

From 2000 onwards, the new DTM continues the former Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft (German Touring Car Championship) and ITC (International Touring Car Championship) which had been discontinued after 1996 due to high costs.
