Donald "Don" Bies (born April 7, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois) is a special effects artist and occasional actor who worked in the Star Wars The Star Wars Trilogy Special Edition and the Prequel trilogy.
He began working in the film industry for The Fly (1986) when he was 24 years old. After working on The Kiss (1988) and The Fly II (1989), he was hired by Industrial Light & Magic. With the company, he worked on films such as Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), Congo (1995), Starship Troopers (1997), A.I. (2001), and Pirates of the Caribbean (2003).
