Dr. Frederick Frankenstein is the main protagonist of Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein. He is the grandson of the original Dr. Frankenstein but he prefers to be called "Fronkensteen" and tries not to follow in his grandfather's footsteps. When he inherits his grandfather's castle in Transylvania, he must choose whether to go on or resume his grandfather's crazed experiments of bringing the dead back to life.
