The Dublo Dinky series was a series of small-scale diecast models introduced by Meccano in late 1957, made at Binns Road, Liverpool alongside the larger Dinky Toys. As the name suggests, it was supposed to complement the Hornby Dublo model railway system ("Dublo" standing for "double O", i.e. OO gauge or 1/76 scale), but it was also intended to compete against Lesney's Matchbox Miniatures.
Success of the series was limited, and the last models were withdrawn in 1966. Two years later Meccano would make another attempt to tackle the small-scale diecast market with the Mini Dinky series.
