Edward Kenway is the protagonist of the game Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. Edward was a member of the Brotherhood of Assassins and a pirate during the 1500s in the Carribean. Allied with famous pirates such as James Kidd and Blackbeard, he fought against the armadas of Spain, England, and Portugal while working to assist the Assassins in limiting the influence of the Templars in the New World. He is voiced by Matt Ryan.
