En Voiture Tintin

1/43 Editions Atlas | Series

Something Missing?

The "En Voiture Tintin" (English: In cars with Tintin) collection is a series of diecast model cars, launched in 2001 in France. It was inspired by the famous Adventures of Tintin comic books created by Hergé. The collection, initially planned for 50 models, was eventually expanded to 70 miniature vehicles in 1/43rd scale.

Each model in this collection is associated with a specific Tintin album, and comes with a booklet denoting on which page in which album it was featured.

The Atlas miniatures are exceptionally detailed, accurately reproducing the vehicles as they were drawn by Hergé in his unmistakable 'ligne claire' style, they are not slavishly miniaturised depictions of real cars, thus no existing tools were utilised in their making.

They are diecast Zamak throughout, only small detail parts and the windows are made from plastic. The figurines are slush cast metal as well, hence, depending on the number of figures included, the models can be surprisingly heavy.

Unfortunately, some occurrences of zink pest have been reported lately (2026).
