Exogini

Something Missing?

The first series of the Exogini was released in 1987 in four main colors: transparent pink, transparent green, transparent orange and flesh-colored.
In addition to these, some variants could be found (see section variants) and the rarer Exogini brillantinati (see section brillantinati).

They were sold in sachets, jars and pyramids, all sealed containers and without the possibility of seeing the contents.
This unprecedented mode of sale that leveraged the surprise effect combined with very affordable prices especially for the single packet, made it a huge success.

Given the exceptional sales and continued demand, the same characters from the first wave were reprinted in five other colors: metallic gray, metallic blue, white, black and the less common metallic purple.
Also this time there were different color variations.

The logo of the first series was the face of an alien, in fact not present among the characters in the collection and most likely designed - with the classic 80s style - to be in line with the story of the "mysterious aliens" created ad hoc for the launch of this toy line.
