Something Missing?

Ezzell Trucking was founded in 1951 by James A. Ezzell. Mr. Ezzell was an entrepreneur and a jack of all trades. Before venturing into trucking, he owned a mink farm, turkey farm, hog farm, raised goats, and even owned part of a gas business.

Mr. Ezzell first got into trucking when he was trying to find a reliable trucker to haul his turkeys to the market; when he found none, he decided to do it himself. Once his neighbors saw what he was doing, they asked him to take their turkeys as well. Ezzell Trucking was born in Harrells, N. C..

Throughout the years they have hauled live turkeys, refrigerated, dry van, and bulk commodities, both regionally and cross-country. Today, they focus specifically on wood residuals: chips, bark, shavings, and wood pellets. They service the forestry industry in the Carolinas and Virginia, and their major customers include International Paper, Weyerhaeuser, Georgia Pacific, and Enviva. All their truck driving jobs are local.
